What Election 2016 Has Revealed About 7 Mountain Assignments For The Next Four Years

God doesn’t always call the qualified, He often likes to qualify the called. The people of Israel looked at Saul as the ideal candidate to be king, yet he was brash and unsubmissive to the word of God. When God sent Samuel to Jesse’s house to seek out and anoint a new king, anyone of David’s elder brothers appeared to fit the bill. Yet God told Samuel the one He was after was David. It was his humility and spirit of worship that God was after.

Paul said in 1st Corinthians 1:27 says that God will choose the foolish things to confound the wise and the weak thing to confound the mighty. There are many who have operated from conventional wisdom and tried to use it to analyze this entire race from the primary run until election day, and they are all baffled by the 2016 results. Many Christians judged…

bibleWhy is it so hard to read the Bible? I mean, most of us really want to —yet we don’t even come close to a consistent reading plan. And when we do open it, we’re sort of lost. Allowing the pages of the big book to fall open randomly, we search for a morsel of something useful, reducing God’s Word to a fortune from a Chinese cookie.

Or perhaps we may know some familiar scriptures extracted from memory in times of need that we sprinkle like fairy dust in hopes of a changed situation. Psalms and Proverbs are great for that. But deep inside, we yearn. Surely it’s supposed to be different than this.

If we’re going to get anything out of Bible study, we must throw away our misconceptions and preconceived notions.

What the Bible is not
A rule book
Mythical fairy tales
Complex book of cryptic prophesies

A Call to Prayer: Arise

Manna from on High

Praying hands_MTS

The mantel of prayer
is a gift to you, disciple of Christ,
not to a specific priest so accept it
as a sword to wield in the battle field.

Let the flames of prayer be released
from within to set alight Satan’s plans
and to ignite the Word of truth in God’s sons.

Look to see and hear the LORD.
Sound the alarm at the enemy’s advance
upon man and with the armies of God
shoot the arrow at the hordes of hell as
a protector and defender of man.

As an impenetrable wall,
the LORD entreats that your prayer rain is released to fall
as fire and brimstone for the retreat of the armies of hell,
for He says
“The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.(1)”

Forever seated in heavenly places
